British Association for Victorian Studies (BAVS) --
BAVS (founded in 2000) is a multi-disciplinary organisation, dedicated
to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge about the Victorian
period. It has 300 members, drawn from the academic community
and the general public, in both the UK and abroad (qtd. from the
site itself). The association sponsors an annual conference in
Victorian studies and lectures. BAVS also publishes regular newsletters
and an annual directory.

- Nineteenth
Century Studies Association (NCSA) -- The NCSA is an
interdisciplinary association for the study of nineteenth-century
cultures British, American, and continental. Its membership
includes scholars whose disciplinary focus ranges from art, architecture,
and literature to religious, scientific, and legal writing, to

This association sponsors an annual conference and is affiliated
with the scholarly journal Nineteenth Century Studies.

American Conference on British Studies (NACBS)
-- NACBS is a scholarly society dedicated to all aspects
of the study of British civilization. The NACBS sponsors scholarly
publications, an annual conference, as well as several academic
prizes and graduate fellowships. The NACBS is closely associated
with six regional conferences on British studies: the Mid-Atlantic
(MACBS), the Midwest (MWCBS), the Northeast (NECBS), the Southern
(SCBS), the Western (WCBS), and the Pacific Coast (PCCBS).

American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA) -- NAVSA
was established in 2002 to provide a continental forum for the
discussion of the Victorian period, to encourage a wide variety
of theoretical and disciplinary approaches to the field, and to
further the interests of scholars of the period within such larger
bodies as the MLA, the AHA, and ACCUTE (qtd. From the site itself).
This association sponsors an annual conference and is affiliated
with the scholarly journal Victorian Studies.

Nineteenth Century Studies Association (INCS)
-- INCS is an international group of scholars dedicated to interdisciplinary
discussion and research. The organization sponsors annual meetings
(one in the United States and one in London) and enjoys a collaborative
relationship with Nineteenth-Century Contexts: An Interdisciplinary
Journal. INCS encourages scholarly work that transcends disciplinary
boundaries in its approach to cultural studies (qtd. from the

The Victorians Institute is an organization of scholars
and students centered in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the USA. They
sponsor an annual meeting, which features papers by speakers from
around the country (and sometimes world), as well as the Victorians
Institute Journal, an award-winning annual that publishes
articles, reviews, and newly edited texts of interest to Victorianists.(qtd.
