- Use of Images
- The use of illustrations (comic strips, comic panels, short quicktime
or real media video clips, etc.) is encouraged, but the writer must take
responsibility for securing any copyright permission prior to publication
if use falls outside of the range allowed for under the Fair Use provisions
of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
- Operations
- Unsolicited articles for ImageTexT will appear in the journal
after a peer review processs and, if accepted, may be either returned to
the author for revision or accepted for publication as is. Articles accepted
for publication are done so under the following conditions:
- The article has not been previously published (this does not apply
to translations).
- The article is not being considered for publication elsewhere, unless
a cross-publishing arrangement has been previously negotiated.
- Any subsequent publication of the article, in any form, must acknowledge
its earlier publication in ImageTexT.
- Authors of accepted articles, reviews, and/or translations assign
to ImageTexT the right to publish and distribute their work
electronically, including publication on the web and on CD-ROM, and
to archive and make it permanently retrievable electronically. Authors
retain their copyright, however, so after their project has appeared
in ImageTexT, they may republish their text in any manner they
wish -- electronic or print-- provided that they clearly acknowledge ImageTexT as its original site of publication.
- Submission and Acceptance Statistics
- Unsolicited articles for ImageTexT will appear in the
journal after a peer-reviewed process. The submission and review process
will utilize an electronic database system. The system will make possible
a statistical record of acceptance and rejection rates.
- Internet Privacy Policy
- ImageTexT does not collect any information from those viewing
these web pages. Any information affirmatively submitted will be used only
for the purposes under which that information was submitted and will not
be sold to any commercial entities. Our privacy policy follows completely
the University of Florida's Internet Privacy Policy, which can be found here.
- Terms of Use
- Except as may be permitted by the United States Copyright Act of
1976, no part of this website or its contents may be reproduced
or distributed in any form or by any means without the prior written
consent of all copyright holders, which includes the authors, the
journal, and the copyright holders for any copywritten material
used by the authors.

- ImageTexT works to comply with standardized code (XHTML 1.0 Transitional) and the specifications of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please notify
us if there are errors or problems in this regard. ImageTexT is not optimized for any one browser, but instead
aims to have high HTML standards so that it can be viewed properly
on the majority of systems and browsers.
